This is a blog for all the wonderful dark, gloomy, slightly macabre cross stitch designs that are out there. Although most of the designs would make great Hallowe'en pieces, this is not a blog for those patterns that are only about Hallowe'en. This is my rendition of Miss Mary Mack from La D Da Designs. I changed it so you can see the silver buttons down her back and I made her a blond. I used HDF silks for this design. I loved stitching this, it was so much fun. I used a piece of linen that I had on hand, that's why it's a little small.
This is a great pattern for this time of year. It makes me think of leaves blowing in the wind. It's called Spooky House and it's from Xs and Ohs. I love the tree and the bats.
